The fish cooking show for kids

Updated: Jun 10, 2019

Aalisa - Igasa - Nerisa is a fish cookbook for children, we made it to a fish cookshow for kids.

Role: Camera, light, sound, videographer and editing.

The show consists of five episode, each about a particular fish. This episode is about Suluppaagaq (Rødfisk). We had guests coming over and cook that was the main story, but we also made some small features about the particular fish, the horizon about it and some fish news. Also an animation that gave further explanation about Suluppaagaq.

I was a technical producer/director/lighting/sound guy on this, also cameraman on studio, cameraman on location, made intros, breakers and outro graphics and various logos. The only thing I didn't made was the animations at the start and the one that is called 'infotainment' animation somewhere around the start. There is Danish subtitles on that one so it should be easy to spot.

We recorded this in 1080p on three Panasonic ux-90 camcorders, and sennheiser microports on the older four persons on this show, one Sony FDR-x3000 actioncam on top of the set. We were two cameramen on the studio, otherwise I was all alone with the show. This was edited and color corrected in Da Vinci Resolve, the first show on that scale to be edited on Da Vinci at KNR (Kalaallit Nunaata Radioa).

The show was sponsored by the Greenlandic government and department of health and Royal Greenland, when we finished these 5 episodes there was a small premiere of it on the cultural house Katuaq where the minister of health came over and gave a speech and gave us flowers, it was super nice of her and we were all happy in the end.
